Do You Know What’s On Your Ballot?

I do the vote by mail thing… in years past I’ve voted early, gone to the local govt office and voted before voting day. I hate hate hate waiting in long voting lines, having to take time off work (on 10 hour days I would have to), and just the general push and shove of voting. Taking time off work should be for something fun, dog stuff, shopping for Callaway golf clubs or just general shopping. Voting.. well, I don’t really consider it a lot of fun.
A few months ago I signed up for the mail voting program and I got my ballot in the mail already. This will be even easier, and I love easy!
I had no idea all this stuff would be on my ballot. Not only the presidential election and the voting of judges in and out, but we have five constitutional amendments here in Utah that are on the ballot. Two propositions (I have heard rumors of them), and various other things.
I don’t know if it exists, but I would love to see an online resource, or even a print resource, that has all the ballot items listed. Maybe links to pro and con statements. I’d love to be able to do some research.
I also hated getting to the polls and being surprised at what was on the ballot and not feeling prepared to vote. Now I can be prepared.
Do you know what will be on your ballot? Are you sure you know? How did you find out? How do you vote?
I’m just curious.

I need to get mine done this week, i want to read about the amendments and propositions more.
Visit a free site that has lots of information about state ballot propositions, http://www.ballotpedia.org. I did an interview with someone from the site and I like it.
