So here is a map of the trip we are most likely taking to Denmark. Okay okay we ARE taking. LOL. It’s still stressing me out!
View Denmark for June 2010 in a larger map
I hope this google map embeds okay… I think it is.
Anyway, so I guess they have manual transmission cars for rent for lots cheaper than automatics in Denmark. Which is odd because here in the states you can’t even find a manual to rent. And I drive manuals but Mark, the friend I am going with, doesn’t. So either we have to pay more or I need to teach him how to drive a stick! LOL.
Anyway, it’s actually more expensive than I was hoping for. Oh well… we don’t go to Denmark every day, right?

Yup it’s official! I am going to Denmark! I’m going with my friend Mark from work. He’s the only one who said he could afford it! And man, it’s going to be way more expensive than I had originally thought. I really wanted to go with my friend Marie from Richfield but she couldn’t afford it. I wish I could have paid for hers! But I’m going to have a hard time paying for just my own. Bleh. I really wanted to go with my Mom, too, but I needed to buy the tickets soon because I want to plan what I’m going to do. Hopefully she will still come, but we’ll see.
I’m really stressed about going, and I don’t really know why because I’ve traveled before. Maybe it’s the money… the car is going to cost more than I was hoping. And I don’t even know how much hotels will be. Ugh. Maybe I need to sell some Nascar jackets to get some more money… but my husband and I gave up on the four month house payoff plan. Our budget is just too tight and so we are refinancing instead to lower our payment to give us a little bit more breathing room. And some money for Denmark for me. And we are rolling the van loan in there too so having just one loan will be better than two.
So I’m excited and really nervous too. Jet, of course, is coming… oh did I not mention that? LOL I’m going to the World Dog Show in Herning, Denmark! And I’m bringing Jet, my Danish Swedish Farmdog and entering him in the show! It’ll be way fun! I know my nerves will settle down after a while, but for now, I’m stressed. Bleh.

So, I’m thinking of taking a week trip to Germany this year. I have relatives there, and can probably stay with my Uncle… or at least at his house that he has renovated into apartments. I think I might have enough skymiles for two tickets, so I might drag my friend Marie with me! Maybe someone will give me a gift card that I can use in Germany, for some fun stuff!
I also hope to get some settlement money from my car accident. I should know in a week or two, I think. I really hope to get enough to pay off my mortgage, but so far the other insurance is only offering me $8,000. That is not enough to pay off the mortgage! We owe $23,000 on the mortgage. Dangit, I really want to pay that off. We are so close, I can taste it!
And speaking of money, I was balancing my checkbook today and found out that I’d been calculating my new minivan loan wrong… I actually wasn’t even taking it into account! Crap! So that’s why I’ve been so freakin’ short of money lately. And the Husband isn’t working… he does work occasionally for his brother-in-law, enough to buy food for us and some dog food. But I pay the mortgage and the utilities and such now… plus dog sports and taxes. So I have a pretty major budget I follow. And when it’s messed up, I’m messed up. So next paycheck will be tight again, but after that, I think I’ll be much better off as I finally figured it out! Bleh.
So anyway, Germany would be fun. Maybe we’d take the train around too and see some other things. We’d stay in Bingen in Germany… and there is a ton of things to do just there, and we could walk, and it’d be completely fun!

Gaah.. I’m so tired. Flyball really tires me out, as does driving for four and a half hours. I came straight back from St George, Utah, which is about 300 miles from where I am. It was a nice drive, I listened to a book on CD which was pretty good. Neil Gaiman’s new book The Graveyard Book.
I didn’t have much internet access so didn’t get online. Though I’ll have to blog more tomorrow about the property in Richfield and Monroe Utah that I looked at. That was a lot of fun.
And maybe I should start an electronics blog, as I love my techie toys. But for right now, I want to go to sleep, I’m just wasted!

My husband is off on a trip this weekend. I can’t say to where, but I hope he’ll be okay. The weather is always iffy this time of year, and so I’ll worry. I gave him my cell phone so he can call me if he needs to, and he can check in every few hours. He is a very safe driver and so I’m sure he’ll be safe, and he’s in the Outback which is a good safe car.
Of course I worry about him rolling… only because I’ve been in two rollovers in my life, both in the winter in the snow. But the weather is supposed to be clear this weekend and hopefully he’ll be home by Monday. Monday is a holiday so I get to be home too, and have a nice day off!
I’m relaxing today. As are the dogs. It’s quiet in the house again which is really nice, all the foster dogs are gone. They are fun to have for a while, but they are even more fun to have gone.
I wish dog rescue wasn’t necessary. If it wasn’t, we wouldn’t have the six dogs we do. And we do love them all, for sure.

Eeeek! My cruise is only 11 days away! I am amazed, and nervous. I have to tell you that last night I went and got a spray on tan. Airbrushed. Talk about an ego booster! Wow, I love my skin color and skin tone now. I had to put on some makeup this morning and lip color. LOL. I love it. My friend Mark and I are going to go again the day before we fly off for the cruise. And this Friday I’m getting my hair cut and colored. So I’ll look hot and sexy! LOL… well, for a 41 year old anyway. But actually I think I look pretty darn good, if that doesn’t sound too vain. =P
So anyway I like to shop online, and I like wikis… and I’m actually pretty lazy about shopping I like to have the search engines do all the work for me. So check it out, there’s a wiki search engine that will search all the stores for me! It’s called ShopWiki.com and I’m checking it out now as we speak. Though it might be too late for me to have stuff mailed to me for the cruise.. hey, I can try can’t I?
Of course I’m always looking for dog stuff, including Dog Bedding. As the dogs love something soft to sleep on. Right now, though, I’d love a new purse or mini backpack for the cruise. Hrmm this little leather backpack looks really nice. Though I try to avoid leather if I can, I buy leather shoes, and it sure does last. There goes the animal rights activist in me eh? Hrmph.
Well, I gotta go check those little backpacks out some more. They are so convenient for traveling! And I love my tan, I want to take pictures of my legs! LOL Can you tell I’m excited for the cruise?

I’m getting so excited! Tomorrow, October 1, 2008, will mean we are in the same month that my cruise is in! 25 days until I leave!
I just called for a scuba update lesson. I haven’t been scuba diving for oh… probably eight or so years now. So I want to get updated before I go. I have an excursion at Grand Cayman for a dive. I have always wanted to dive the Cayman Islands, and now I get to! I need a snorkel though, mine broke. I’m going to borrow a friends and see how that works. I have my mask and fins and wet suit.
I have a hair appointment for the 17th to get my hair done. Nail appointment on the 24 just the very day before I go. I’m so excited!
How am I going to pay for this all, if I have no money? Well blogging pays for my nails, my husband pays for my hair (he’s such a good guy) and the rest comes out of my vacation fund. I have about $800 in there, I hope it’s enough. I budget to the freakin’ penny. I’m good that way. So even though I only have $23 in spending money for food and lunch and stuff, I do have a stash in my vacation fund!
Yippee!!!

Well I’m back from St. George, Utah, and flyball with my dog Chase. Muffit and Tatum came along for the ride too. It was fun. I pulled the trailer down on my own… the first time I ever took it on my own. I was scared and nervous until about half way home today. Then my nerves finally settled and I was fine.
I also had a passenger, a 14 year old girl who is a member of our flyball team, and her border collie. It went well though I was nervous about what we’d talk about and I’m always a bit shy as I don’t know her too well. But she’s super nice and it was fun. And I was nervous about the van and the trailer and getting there okay, but it went just fine. The van pulled the trailer nicely I will admit. Better than my old Outback did. My drive home was by myself, and it the weather was nice and the traffic was good.
So when I go to more dog shows next summer, or Vegas vacations, I can take the trailer myself. Now, though, I’m just glad to be home and I’m rather glad to be done with traveling for dogs sports for the year. The next trip is the cruise, end of October. For a while, i get to have some weekends off and to rest!

Well, I’m back from the long drive to Laramie Wyoming and back. I think the drive is, actually, rather boring.
Though most of it is straight and flat so that is good. My car was getting close to over heating up Parley’s Canyon out of Salt Lake, but I wasn’t surprised. We had a very heavy load and my car has had a hard time up that canyon pulling our popup trailer in the past, too.
It was a fun trip, I’ll post more about it on Tip Tail. I ate too much junk and I’m looking at doing a cleanse through Isagenix. As my flyball captain does it and sells it and it looks interesting. I was reading some reviews about it and I think I’m going to try it out. Maybe I’ll drop a few pounds and clean out my system doing the 9 day cleanse.
Maybe I should sell it myself, or term life insurance, as I need to make some more money to pay for my dog habit. I think I’m going to buy a GPS. I really want one… she had one with and they are amazing. I travel so much, I really want one!
Well.. gotta get some work done. I’m wondering why Microsoft Access is having problems with a query of mine. Uck!

Well, once again, I’m going out of town with the dogs. Gonna go do Flyball in Laramie, Wyoming. My car, as you can see, is loaded down. I borrowed the car top carrier from a friend at work, and the back end has a hitch rack with both flyball boxes on it.
I am sure we are going to get rotten gas mileage on the trip. But there will be two of us splitting gas, so that will help.
I am quite tired of traveling, though. And I appreciate my time at home more than anything. But flyball is fun and we’ll have a good time. Chase loves flyball. The dogs love to travel and go new places. Once I retire, and can stay home during the week, then traveling on the weekends won’t be so bad.
I don’t know if I’ll have internet access where I am going… but I did download a little application that allows me to code in PHP and MySQL offline. It’s nice! I’m going to try to work on a little web app to keep track of flyball dog data, race times, etc, and see how that goes.
Talk atcha when I get back!
