Well, I’m almost better from having lost Angel. Though we are still sad, and will always miss her. My husband and I planted some tomatoes today in the garden. I just took some pictures.

The above is a new pot I bought for a plant in the house. Levi knocked the old pot over and broke it. I think this one is pretty!
The above is the back yard… though there are too many stupid tree leaves that have fallen lately in the wind. Bleh. I don’t know how to get them out of the rubber mulch.
The above is one of the annuals I planted in the yard. I love the colors.
And this last one is the baby tomato plants. I can’t wait to eat tomatoes!
Okay I have been a slacker and I haven’t gotten pictures of my yard up yet! Dangit! And now it’s going to snow and so I won’t be able to take pictures… and, I will admit, I keep forgetting too. I’d like to take some more pictures of the front and the back and post them. I am so very happy with how my yard has turned out! Yay! I think in all the 10 years I’ve lived here my yard has been a mess, and finally it is nice again!
I need to post about some anxiety I’ve been having lately, too. But I’m not sure how to go about it. Maybe I’ll need some migraine relief before this stress is over with… but if I can spend time in my yard and relax, that helps a ton!
Okay so I don’t have an after picture yet… it’ll come! LOL. This is the before picture of the one corner of the yard that was left yesterday. Okay it wasn’t the only bit, I have some more edges to do, but that has to wait for a little while. So this is what the yard looked like yesterday.

Icky… and Jet does like to take toys onto the grass, though he hasn’t taken any certified diamonds out there yet. Fortunately! But lots of toys. So I dug up the icky bark that was there and.. I’ll post in a bit showing the final product. I love it! I need to run out and take some pictures! lol
Ooo my body just hurts so much. But I love how the yard is turning out! I did some back yard work today… well, did some yesterday too, and more today. Here’s what it looked like before I started:

Yuck! This is what it looks like most of the time, too. Bleh. I hate it, but I usually don’t have time to really work on it. So this weekend I did.. this month I will, and I’m no sick, so that’s good too! Here is what it looked like after:

So much better! I like the little fence I’m putting up, and I LOVE the rubber mulch. The rubber mulch in the front held out really nice over the winter. So I think putting it in the back will work too. It’s neat and hold it’s color so much better than the wood. Here’s another picture, I bought 2 new chairs so I can sit outside on the patio and play on the computer, hang out with the dogs, and not need to wear a Nascar jacket to keep warm:

So here I sit, and Tatum, Jet and Chase are all playing on the grass. It’s so nice and peaceful!
Well I’m doing more yard work and it’s fun! It’s nice to get kinda dirty, it’s nice to have it warm enough to be outside! I just put in some edging in the front yard where I pulled out the rose bushes last year and put down rubber mulch. This is before the edging:

And here it is after I put the new edging in. It’s a cement type pinkish edging that will hopefully last a lot longer than that awful wood that was there. It was rotting away and icky. All the digging is one of the top fat burners available, I think! And I want to do more in the back yard.

Not sure you can see it really well in these pics, but I really like it!
And here is my bedroom! It’s a light purple.. which I also like! I had it painted a dark pink but that was much too loud and so I painted over it. So this room has been painted twice!

I need to get a picture of the bathroom too, and I forgot, but hopefully I’ll get that going in the next while here. So far, I do like my house, and posting these pictures is making me realize that!
And here is the front room, which I also love… I love the brown paint. I never thought I’d like brown, but I wanted something homey and yet darkish but not too dark. Tatum is in this picture posing, too.

No POS systems in here.. but lots of tile floors! I love the tile floors. They are so nice for the dogs, and the poop that yes, we still get indoors once in a while. That is Tatum’s bed in the middle of the floor, she likes to sleep in the sunshine. And it’s still icky winter here and so we absorb all the sun we can get!
Okay here is another one of my rooms… this is the hallway. It’s been painted for some years now and I still love the green.

Maybe i should find some careers in painting… hrm… naw, I don’t like painting nearly that much. I just like the finished product. The painting is work. The prep is even more work than the painting. My rooms are not perfect but that’s okay, they make me happy and that is all that matters. And yes, I like color, can you tell? Color makes me happy and makes me feel like the house is a nice place to live. Plus it’s easily changed if we sell. Which is a bonus!
The bedroom is done! Yay! I’m so excited. I do need to print some nice dog pictures for the frames I bought. And I already need to clean the carpet again because Lucy has thrown up on it (I wish we could do tile flooring in the bedroom but that’s more work than we want right now), but that’s okay, I like the room!
I was taking some pictures of my rooms and I think, for the most part, I am really happy with how they have all turned out. Most of the upstairs is painted and done, even after 10 years of living here. I still hate the kitchen… that will be a while though since we don’t have the money or the time to totally gut it. Oh well. I’m going to post up some more pictures over the next while because I like my house!
Yay the house is clean! Well, the upstairs is, anyway. The downstairs needs work. The spare bedroom is painted, and the house is decluttered, and the maids came. Woot! It’s so nice to have a maid. I just don’t understand how to clean. And I don’t understand how every darn surface in the house needs to be cleaned on a regular basis… which really seems more often than I can handle. And so I hired a maid again.
My husband and I decided to refinance the house instead of paying it off in four months. I was too stressed, he said. I was too tight and it was too much of a burden. So instead we refinanced and lowered our mortgage to a teeny tiny amount per month. So that’s good, and it let me afford a maid again. And it’s helping the economy, right? Paying for a maid? I think so! Maybe we need something for hair loss prevention too… but I dunno about that yet, the husband doesn’t really care and neither do I!
Anyway, so they cleaned the upstairs while I watched the dogs downstairs. And so it’s clean upstairs now. And they are going to come once a month. And it’s only $49 a month, so I can do that… $25 a pay check. It’s affordable! I like affordable. And I like a clean house too!
