Happy Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

It is mostly over but Happy Thanksgiving everyone anyway. I had a busy day, cleaned my spare bedroom, cooked, then went over to my Dad’s. My Mom is still in Germany. My sister and I brought lots of food. And it was good healthy food, too! I like that much better than greasy buttery food.

So it was a good day. Now I’m my new bed, on my new frame, and I’m going to go watch an episode of Blood Ties here on my laptop. I’ll post pictures of the bed in a few days.

Good night!

Thanksgiving Mode

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

I’m already in Thanksgiving Mode… I want to be off! But I work the rest of today and then I work for a few hours tomorrow. I need to see how many, since I went to the Dentist on Monday and worked the rest of the day. Our Maid Service also comes tomorrow, which is good, and I need to straighten up! They haven’t called yet, I wonder if they will come AM or PM.

I will be at my Mom and Dad’s Thanksgiving day. My Mom is, however, in Germany. So it’ll just be us and we are doing pot luck. I’ll bring sweet potatoes and cauliflower and maybe some yummy potatoes. I won’t be wearing any equestrian riding apparel, hehe, I’d have to wear that at Halloween since I don’t ride. Though I do love to ride.

Can’t Use the Mattress

Sunday, November 18th, 2007

Today is day 18 and I can already feel the impatience growing. Plus I was overly tired today doing dog things all day long. So I’m going to have to start taking Agnus Castus tomorrow to help me out.

I can’t sleep in my mattress for a few days. I want a cover for it and that is going to be mail order. Water proof. Plus, the foam doesn’t reach it’s full shape for 72 to 96 hours! Ugh. So I should wait until it expands to it’s full size from the roll it has been in for a while.

And I think most of my Christmas shopping is done, though I might get a wireless router for someone I know… won’t say who! ;)

Thursdays

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Well today is Thursday. I was pretty angry all day yesterday. Not sure if I’m over it or not. Probably not. Oh well life goes on eh? Had a really wild dream last night and posted about it in my Dream Diary, Pixie Tail (link on right). Man I have long, elaborate dreams.

I can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving a week from today. Where did all the time go? I have to remember, every day, that the days just fly by now. I am looking forward to decorating my office for Christmas, but not sure I have the energy or desire to do it at home. We’ll see. I do like putting lights up if nothing else.

Anyway… work calls.

Vampires

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

I guess Vampires is a good subject for Halloween. I just watched my recorded shows of Moonlight. My sister turned me on to the show, and I am enjoying it. What is that darn book that was about the vampire and the woman, and wasn’t he a PI or a detective or something? I’ll have to look it up.

I am fascinated by vampires and I love vampire stories. Of course I like the vampires that no longer kill humans to survive. But having the ability to do so, the desire, the history of doing so, is fascinating. There is something sensual and erotic about being involved intimately with a male vampire. Not sure if it goes the other way… men like women vampires. But male vampires have a power and an evil-yet-good core that is very alluring.

Robin McKinley has a great vampire book, I wish it was on CD and I’d listen to it. Haven’t been reading much but I listen to a lot of books on CD now. It’s called Sunshine. I loved it and should probably buy it sometime.

There is something fascinating about feeding a vampire, being intimately involved with a vampire on both the sexual and feeding level. Not sure what it is, but it does perk my interest. I’d love to meet, and be able to trust, a powerful, and good, vampire.

Edit: here we go, Tanya Huff, The Blood Books. I have to see if they are on CD.

Orange for Halloween

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

orangenails So check it out! I got my nails done today, and they are orange. The acrylic is actually orange itself. So I don’t have to worry about polish color.

My sister recommended this nail lady, and she did a really good job. I’m tired of acrylic that yellows, an nails that have to be removed every other week. I have wanted someone affordable who will drill out when they fill, and this gal will do so. And she’s affordable!

So I’m back to acrylics. It’s one of the few girly things I like to do. And they are a bit long, but my typing is still doing okay. I remembered how to type with nails.

And if I had a dell laptop (which I don’t), I could buy some Dell Memory to upgrade it. Laptops always need more memory, especially running Vista!

Happy July Holiday

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007

Happy Fourth of July tomorrow. I will probably be around blogging. I’m making an effort to take it easy and be a bum and not do anything at all. :) Or so I can hope. Sleep in, relax, and do whatever I want.

I love being a bum sometimes, and lately I’ve been so busy that I just need more down days to relax and destress!

Happy Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 13th, 2007

So, today is Mother’s Day. It’s already past 11 am and I’m still in my jammies on the couch in front of my laptop reading and writing on blogs. :) Too much fun. But seriously, I’m going over to my Mom’s today and I haven’t gotten her anything, so I might have to stop by and get some flowers. She is so hard to shop for. She already has everything. And I’m just sucky at buying gifts anyway.

My sister is so good at it, she’s very creative. Really, I’m more tom-boy, and just not very homey or creative that way.

Oh well. Should be a relaxing day today. I’m really zoned out today. Just want to sit and be a vegetable, not think about anything, or even do anything.

May Day

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

Well, I went to the doctor yesterday. I don’t have Chicken Pox, I don’t have Shingles. I don’t have bug bites. I don’t have flea bites. I don’t have “insert comment here”. So, in other words, they don’t know what it is. He told me it’s probably a ‘Post-Viral Rash’. But really, rashes are a contiguous area of your body that are red, aren’t they? Mine are little mosquito bite things. That itch.

Oh well. Whatever. I have to get back into dog things this week. I’m still tired, but taking care of myself. I have a 3 day agility trial with Levi this weekend, Friday Saturday Sunday. So, I must get better before then!

I went and bought John Barrowman / Swings Cole Porter yesterday online. It’s quite good. He has an amazing voice. I bought it via I-Tunes. Then I had to figure out a way to turn the I-Tune only format into something I can burn to CD. Which I did figure out. And all for free, thank goodness. Yeah I know, I probably wasn’t supposed to. But I did pay for the album. So John got some of my money. And I need it in CD format to play in my car. That’s the best way to listen, anyway. And then I can sing with him. I love to sing. I don’t have a half bad voice myself, either. ;)
And it’s very sad to read about the death of his Cocker Spaniel, Money Penny. I just hope he’s not an irresponsible breeder. Though I think in England they don’t have the awful dog overpopulation issues like we do here in the US. Cause if he’s breeding willy-nilly, I’d have to get super mad at him. :)
Oh, and… TipTail has PR! Woo Hoo! We have a PR of 3, or so it appears. I’m excited. I guess I got this new domain just at the right time, right before the PR update. Woooo Wooo! :D
Well, off to work today. So much fun.

Year is New

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

Well, it’s 2007 today. And has been for a couple of days. Such a fun thing. Time goes by much too fast.

I woke up this morning, and just now had, a feeling that I should be afraid of something.

Of what? I don’t know. Surely I said something or did something that will cause stress somewhere. But I don’t know what it is, don’t remember. Probably the dog rescue. Probably thinking I won’t be able to handle it all. But I will just have to learn to say no.

I have a card from my insurance, I need to call them today about therapy. I really need to go back and work on this darn SA.
