As you can see from my Harry Potter Costume, I’m a Harry Potter Nut. Well actually I like Ron better… red hair and all but I just love the books and the movies.

Last movie release I went to the midnight showing… Goblet of Fire. And I dressed up, too. It was fun. I don’t think I’ll be going to the movie 5 release, though, as I have agility that weekend. I do hope to go to the Book 7 release, though. And perhaps wear my costume.. but the movies are dark and I can hide. The book shop will be bright, LOL, and so I don’t know if I want everyone to see me in my Ravenclaw robes!

So maybe I’ll just buy the book online. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.net is donating $1 to both charities, Save The Children and The Global Literacy Project. Good places to donate to!

Ron and Hermione

So what is going to happen with the Characters of Harry Potter? This will probably contain book 1 - 6 spoilers so be aware…. I really hope that Ron and Hermione get together. Those two have been bugging me since book four, or even earlier. Goodness, get a grip you kids! It’s funny to follow them as they are growing up and developing feelings for each other. And it’s so obvious as an observer, though as you and I both know, it’s not so obvious when your involved in it.

And what about Harry and Ginny? Ooo I hope they get together, too. In book six Harry pulled a Spiderman on Ginny. Bah! What is it with these men who think that their women can’t handle tough situations? As MJ said, it’s up to her to decide. So I hope Ginny slaps Harry upside the head. She’s one tough cookie.

Is Snape good or bad?

Well, I think Snape is a good guy. I trust Dumbledore, and I really think that anyone Dumbledore trusts has ultimately got to be trustworthy. I could be wrong, granted, but I think, in the end, Snape will be a good guy. I think Dumbledore death was planned by both of them, for some reason we don’t yet know.

Who will die?

And of course everyone has heard that at least one person will die. Book Seven will finally clear all that up. Though when I no longer get to wonder about it, I think it will be sad. The anticipation is half the fun. Anyway, who will die? I don’t think Ron, Harry, or Hermione will die. I’m thinking maybe Hagrid will die. He’s a good popular character, and it’ll be hard to lose him, but better than the main three kids.

Will anyone come back to life?

JK Rowlings has said that Dumbledore “will not pull a Gandalf”, meaning Dumbledore will not come back to life. Ugh. Bummer. However, I really think that Sirius will. I don’t think he’s dead. He’s just behind the veil, and it would be awesome if he came back to help out once again and defeat Voldemort. Ugh. what an even guy he is.

My predictions

Sooo.. what do I think will happen? I think Ron and Hermione will get together, Harry and Ginny will get together, Hagrid will die, Snape will end up being a good guy, Voldemort will die and Harry will live. LOL that’s just about it in a nutshell. At least that is what I want to have happen.

I kinda new that Dumbledore was going to die, so it didn’t upset me too much. I hate it when characters die in books… heck, it’s a book, unless there is a good reason lets keep the characters we love alive!
I’m so excited for Harry Potter Book Seven to come out that I can’t think about it much, I’ll get too exicted!

Oh my… now we get to find out what really is going to happen. :p I’m so excited!

Oh the Harry Potter folks are just mean. I could swear the OOTP trailer was supposed to come out today, the 17th. But noooooo, not coming out until the 20th. Hrmph. Well, I guess I’ll wait, and visit Mugglenet on Monday!

Hrmph. I think I’m a wizard at heart. I miss my robes. I feel too naked today. I want to wear them again! But I think my coworkers would think me rather odd if I were to do so every day. Oh well.

I will wear them again at the HP GoB premier. I’m exited! Just over two weeks to go!

Yup yup! I’m all dressed up! Finally back in my wizard robes. Oh, that muggle clothes, is just not as fun. The robes are comfy and snuggly and they are keeping me very warm. The only part I don’t like is the tie. Can I do away with the tie? I will admit, men have it pretty badly. The nylons don’t even seem as bad as this darn tie.

Yes, I will admit it, I doubted they’d come by Halloween. You just never know when you paypal $100 to a person on the web, no ebay guarantees, no nothing, if that person will come through or not. However, she did, and they are beautiful! I wish I could rate her somewhere, to say she did an excellent job and to recommend her.

And she does a great job. I have a Ravenclaw patch, but I don’t know if I trust myself to sew it onto the robes. We’ll have to see how brave I am this weekend. Or if maybe Aaron will, or Aaron’s sister. Hrm.

So, I’ll be a decked out Ravenclaw for Halloween, and for the premier. We have midnight tickets for Goblet of Fire. Woo woo! I’m going to be so dead tired on that Friday, I have not stayed up to 3am for probably 15 years.

The first of my scarves is done. This is a template scarf, for Lucy. Lucy is a Slitheryn. She is cunning and it just fits her!

I plan on gathering some herbs for the scarves, to see how that goes too. And I’ve ordered all the colors. However, the yellow is severely backordered, so no Gryffindor or Hufflepuff for a while. Ugh. Only Ravenclaw and Slitheryn.

And okay, I made an order. One of each skein. The cool thing is, this place lists color 1014, butternut, as a DK color. Now I haven’t seen 1014 any other place. And it’s $2.88 per skien. And, they will check their stock and notify me of the total price, and then I can pay through paypal. We’ll see how it goes. I haven’t paid anything yet, which is really nice.

Okay, I need to remember what colors to use for HP Scarves, and I always forget and have to go look them up. As based on the atypically.net pattern.

I prefer to use Encore. For a full-length people scarf, I’ll use worsted weight. But for the mini dog scarves, I think I’ll prefer DK. Though I haven’t been able to actually knit one in DK yet, because no one has the darn colors I want! Ugh. So here’ I’ll post the colors I want, as well as the places that sell them.

Patternworks sucked. They sent me a skein of sienna DK, but the yellow was backordered. They didn’t, however, tell me that when I originally asked them about the ship date. Made me quite mad.

Anyhoo, the colors are as follows.

WORSTED:
Gryffindor - burnt sienna (#0999) and butternut (#1014)
Slytherin - hunter (#0204) and grey frost (#0194)

I have NOT seen the sunny in person, local yarn store didn’t have it, and patterworks.com had it backordered. I hope it looks good. The DK does not seem to come in butternut, the only yellow is sunny. The orange looks too orange.
