I Want A Spa

I’ve wanted a hot tub for as long as I can remember. We could put one in our back yard… it’d actually be great to remodel the back yard and make a nice gazebo with a hot tub, get some nice hot tub accessories, and fix up the yard.

We have the room, really, so maybe we will! A friend of mine has a really nice spa in her back yard. It’s under their deck and they keep it running all year round. It’s nice to go and visit and sit in their hot tub!

If I were to get a hot tub, I’d love to have a SpaScenes. They totally transform the look and feel of the spa. They are a landscape cover that goes on the inside of the spa cover. So when you fold it up, it’s a gorgeous scene that really ads to the hot tub experience.

They are easy to install and don’t need any special tools or experience. They are water and chemical proof, and they are very affordable too! Click on the link above to go and have a look at them. Better to see them than just read about them!

Getting the Hang of Yoono

One of my doggie friends online, Johann the Dog, was twittering the other day and said he was checking out Yoono. So curiousity always gets the better of me when I hear of things like this so I had to go check it out.

It’s a Firefox Extention for social networking. I tried Flock for a while, the social networking browser, but I still like Firefox better. And Yoono actually provides a lot of what Flock does.

Yoono is a bit complicated but the more I figure it out, the more I like it. I was using Twirl as my twitter client, but Yoono incorporates Twitter right inside and now that I can view the updates, I like it! And they only update every 3 minutes because of the Twitter limits. Where Twirl just kinda sits there and says it’s going to try again, and sometimes it’s longer than 3 minutes, I like how Yoono has it set up instead.

I can also include Flickr and Facebook (though I don’t use Facebook much and it’s blocked from my work anyway) and I can load up my blogs so I can post to them.. and I LOVE the little sidebar that opens up when I hover my mouse on it.

So far, so good, for Yoono. And I even have my own Yoono page. :)

Finally On Friend Feed

Well I signed up for Friend Feed. And actually, it’s pretty cool. You can put a ton of your own things in there… like your blog URL, Twitter, Del.icio.us, Flickr, and other information and then people can subscribe to your feed and the the whole darn bunch. Which, actually, seems like a lot. LOL. I only am subscribed to a couple of people’s feeds now through Friend Feed, but if I find more people on it then I’ll subscribe to more. I especially like to check out friends, family, and dog people.

I was checking out some of the services and Yelp looks like a fun one, too. So I signed up there. Though I haven’t written any reviews yet.

So if you want to check out My Friend Feed, there it is. What is yours?

Get Yourself a Gravatar!

TipTail Gravatar The new version of Wordpress (2.5) has Gravatars built in. It took me a while to understand Gravatars, but finally I do, and really they are pretty neat. :)

A Gravatar is basically just a little picture that is related to your email address. And when you post a comment to a Wordpress 2.5 blog, WP will check if your email address exists in the Gravatar database. If so, it shows your little picture by your name.

It’s cool! If you don’t have a Gravatar associated with your email address, then a generic image will show. It’s boring.

Getting a Gravatar is free, and fun. Mine, as you can see, is Tatum. I have it linked here. If I reply to a comment of yours, this picture will show next to my comment as well.

So.. what are you waiting for! Getch yerself a Gravatar!

One More Thing

One more thing before I put the laptop away for the night… another great site I’ve been checking out. Head in Knots, and I absolutely love the layout with the flowers. See, if I was creative, I would do something like that! Probably with dogs though… somehow.

It’s so happy and springy. Just what I love at this time of year.

Girly Things

Maybe I’m backwards, but the older I get, the more girly I get. I just bought some new PJs last night that are bright pink and flowery. For summer, and because they are girly. Maybe some women are more girly when they are young and get less girly as they grow older? I dunno. :)
Anyway, Girly Things is a fun blog to check out. Her name is Angie and she lives in Florida. And she is getting back into her hobbies, one of which is candle making. How fun! I would love to learn how to make candles.

She has another blog called Plus 1 that also has a nice layout and structure and good content. And I really need to check out her post on selling online without fees! Since I sell, but mostly on ebay.

Zoo Feedings

I have been so bored of food lately… though we have three eggplants growing in the backyard that look yummy, and the peas are also very good. However, sometimes I really do want a snack. I am looking at a very good food blog, called Feeding Time at the Zoo and these mints sound delectable.

Being bored of food, I really should go find some interesting food to make, so I’m going to cruise around that blog and see what I can find and make. And I’m really into desserts at the moment! ;)

Ho ho ho.. oh wait, it’s not Christmas so what am I saying? It’s summer, and I am looking for nice bright happy colors. Lori’s Scribblescratch has gorgeous colors on her blog. And I love the layout… hm… I’m thining this template is just too dang dark.

Sometimes she gets Bored with Life, as do I. Ugh. Right now I’m having fun blogging, it’s still new for me so it’s keeping me interested. But I do get bored of food, which I still am. ;)
She also has Lori’s Xanga Blog, which looks fun and interesting, though I’m partial to wordpress blogs myself. ;)

PyroWinter and The She Geek

When I first read the title of the blog PyroWinter I actually read Pro Writer. LOL. What the eyes do. Pyro Winter is a very cool blog name. :) She is even cleaning and organizing her room, like I have been with my kitchen today. Sounds like it’s coming along nicely! I cleaned my kitchen a bit then started blogging and now it’s hard to stop blogging (need that intervention lol).

The She Geek, well, I’m a she, and a geek, lol so I can relate to that blog as well! I haven’t played The Sims 2 but I played The Sims wayback when and it was a lot of fun. If I start again, I wouldn’t stop either!
