Guest post written by Laurel Hayes

When my husband came home one day and told me that we were moving to Colorado because he got a new job at a college there, I started planning the move immediately.

We had gone through this before, several times actually. We got married after undergrad and since then I’ve moved with him to various colleges for him to study and complete degrees at, and eventually teach at. I have the logistics down pat by now.

First we started looking for a house. Then I knew that I would have to find a reliable Internet service because he does so much work through e-mail. We’ve used satalite internet iowa for a while no so I searched for similar services in Colorado. After a short while I found and settled on wildblue CO.

Then I called the movers and started to arrange actually getting our stuff there. You may think my logic is a little off there, but we could get to our new house and my husband have to immediately get on his computer to do work. It’s happened before.

(This was not written by myself, Cynthia, it is a guest post thanks!)

Well I went to school when I was in my 30s because I dropped out way back when… when I was a kid fresh out of High School. I always say that I didn’t really understand how college worked. Fortunately now I do, and I’ve been looking online at various online schools, maybe and online teaching degree, or something I can do after I retire.

Getting an online degree is actually a lot of fun. And the Western Governor’s University is a great option. They charge a flat rate by term instead of by credit hour. So you can go and not have to worry about how many credit ours you have to fit into the term.

They have lots of different programs, too. Social Sciences, Mathematics, Science, and more. I’ll have to tell the husband about this too, since he is looking at schools as well!

For Christmas last year I got some of the Burt’s Bees natural lotion for some of my girlfriends. I love it too…. and I love to support healthy and natural companies.

So if you didn’t know, Burt’s Bees is more than just lip balm! They have shampoo too, and soaps, and lots of other things. I want to try them all!

As a programmer I appreciate the new ‘features’ that are programmed into code. And I speak from experience. We joke, at work, that when a new thing is put into the financial software at work that really is not what the user wants, but it does work in a way, we call it a ‘feature’ instead of a bug.

So anyway I upgraded my www.TatumTail.com blog to WordPress 2.3.1, as well as my sisters blog to 2.3.1, and of course there is a new ‘feature’ that makes it so WordPress will not send an email to an email address that has a different domain name than the domain WordPress is running on.

Well, I have five blogs on my host and I really don’t want to have an email for every single domain. I want to use one email for all the domains. So I don’t know if or why the WordPress folk thought this was an improvement or not. But here is the fix if you need it. There is a whole thread on the WP forums but instead of directing you there to weed through all the posts, this link will take you right to the fix.

So have fun with this. I will be upgrading my other blogs to 2.3.1 soon but I have to do them manually. And heck, maybe I’ll just wait and see if this new ‘feature’ they have will go away in the next release. Maybe when I check out the hotels Las Vegas that have internet access I can apply fixes from there next time I’m down that way, which seems like a lot lately.

Well, I am attempting to get my weight back down. This morning, before showering or eating anything, and naked, I weighed 158.4 pounds. Ack! My low is 147 and I really want to get back down around there. My pants are getting too tight again and I can jut feel it.

So… vegetables vegetables vegetables for food. My main food item. Low calories, high nutritional value, and I will eat enough to fill me up. I made a good soup the other day which is quite yummy.

I might join Weight Watchers once they get their 7 day free trial going again in the next couple of months but we shall see. My sister looks so good, and has been following them for a couple years now. And sometimes I just need the structure.

And after I drop some more pounds I’ll buy myself some flowers… not quite wedding flowers, but those are pretty too!
