Losing Weight is Impossible – One Weigh At A Time Week #8

Published by Cynthia at 7:25 am under Daily Posts,Health,Memes

One Weigh at a TimeAaaargh I could scream! I have been tracking my calories for a week, and doing oh so good about eating less.  So here is my caloric intake for the last week:

2/17 Tue: 1,379
2/18 Wed: 1,359
2/19 Thu: 1,170
2/20 Fri: 1,833
2/21 Sat: 1,237
2/22 Sun: 1,340

And what has my stupid weight done…? GONE UP! UGH!!!

Here are my stupid stats:

* Height: 5′7″
* All time high: 170 pounds
* This week: 168.0 pounds
* Last weigh in: 165 pounds
* Current Change: +3 pounds
* Overall change: -2.0 pounds
*Goal Weight: 147 pounds
* To go: 20.0 pounds

Friday I ate too much ’cause I went to my parents for dinner. But really that shouldn’t have affected me too much. How on earth can I be eating an average of 1300 calories a day and gain weight! I refuse to beleive my body is in starvation mode. I refuse!  Bleh.  What a pain.

Well, I’m going to keep this up and see how it goes for the next week or so.

    here’s what i got to say: are you getting enough caloric intake to fuel your body for it’s everyday needs? go to this website and see how many calories your body needs to do everyday functions

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15321646

    then adjust the calories accordingly. you may not be getting enough fuel to burn off.

    don’t worry, you’ll get the right routine/eating habits down. i’m just starting to finally figure out what works and doesn’t work for me. just wish i had known what i know now sooner! lol

    you’ll be back in the weight loss mode soon, i can tell. :)

    If others can lose weight, why can’t we. There is nothing impossible if we have the determination to persist. Our perennial problem is impatience.

    Hang in there, Cynthia! It may take some time for the new calorie adjustments to kick in. Also, take a look at the source of your calories: too many/too few of one type can throw your body out of balance, too.

    You’ll find your niche. You can do it.

    Thanks for that link Ciara! Hrm.. according to that, I burn about 2300 calories a day, that seems like a lot! Maybe I have been eating too few. Since Tuesday my weight has gone down… I guess I do just have to find that sweet spot.

    I heard just a bit ago, that there is no such thing as Starvation Mode. Unless of course, you dont eat A Thing for like weeks/months ! !
    My take is: you consume too many calories. 20 WW points = 1000 calories. Thats me tho. You know what is best for you :) you have done it before XOXOX

    Hi… don’t hesitate in eating foods. You can burn your fat calories in a simple diet method. Here are few tips. All fats contain the same amount of calories, but some fat-calories are healthier. In general, most of your fat-calories should come from vegetable rather than animal fats, as the latter typically contains saturated fat which is associated with increased risk of heart disease. Clinical diet studies continue to show that weight loss is not possible unless the number of calories taken in is less than the number of calories burned. In this sense, calories and calorie-intake are a vital element in weight control. For example, only about 3 per cent of the fat-calories we eat are used to convert that food into body fat. By comparison about 25 per cent of the crab or protein calories we eat are used to convert these foods into body fat. This means that reducing our fat calories should have a direct impact on a calorie intake and satiety.
