Do You Feel Rested in the Mornings?

Published by Cynthia at 10:15 am under Chatter

Just wondering… sometimes, rarely, I wake up and I feel really rested and I feel like I’ve had enough sleep.

Eating Dinner

Much too often I wake up and it’s like pulling a tooth to get me out of my bed. I have to get up about 5:30am in the morning to make it to work by 6:30ish… usually I drag my body into work about 7:00am instead.

And I don’t do much in the mornings, either. I get up, shower, let the dogs out, dress (not necessarily in that order), gather my stuff and lunch food, put out the sconces (lol), and leave.

I wonder if I get enough sleep. If I need more sleep… I sleep about 9 hours a night. Some days, my down days, I can sleep in to about 9, take a two hourĀ  nap, and then go to bed at 9. And the enxt day I usually feel like I’ve had enough sleep. But sometimes I need another down day to really get back on my feet again.

Maybe I need more exercise. I am feeling better now that I’m eating better and following Eat To Live again. I’ve dropped another half a pound already… it amazes me how the fat just melts away when I eat a lot of veggies. And I bought clementines at the grocery store this morning too. YUM!

Anyway, just wondering if you in the blogger world out there gets enough sleep, and feels refreshed in the morning?

I am sooo tired when I wake up. It takes a shower and then lots of coffee for me to really feel awake!

    I’m like that too.
I have 2 dogs and they’re a lot of work.
    But I love them.
    Nice blog.

I never get enough sleep! I get up around 5:15, but have toooo many animals to take care of now. My wish would be to be in bed by 8pm, but no way. impossible. So to answer you question, No. I never get enough sleep. ugh.

I’m in the process of getting treated for sleep apnea. I’ve done two sleep studies. One for diagnosis and the second to try me on the CPAP machine.

I don’t remember ever being totally refreshed in the morning. Walking dead is my normal mode. I’m happy to finally have hope for getting a good night of sleep.

Rarely do I feel like getting up in the morning. Good thing the dogs don’t care whether I feel like getting up or not, them pretty much demand to be taken care of so it makes me get up.

You might want to talk to your doctor about sleep apnea. I know it made a HUGE difference for me when I started using my CPAP. And the dangers of sleep apnea are greater than you might think. I know a man who fell asleep driving and almost drove his car over an embankment. Thank God for the guardrail. But it’s more than just that. We have a higher risk for chronic diseases as well. It would be well worth your time to check it out.

Hi Clara… oooo now you have got me thinking! I’m even gonna post about it. I just feel so dorky and like a complete pest to go into my doctor and ask for a sleep apnea test! Thanks for getting me thinking tho, that’s the first step!

Hi Tina… ooo maybe that is what I might have too. I just posted a new post about it, and about my nose being stuffy and me feeling like I cannot breathe at night. I’m glad you are being treated!
