A House on Ten Acres

I am dreaming a lot lately… of when I can retire. My husband and I are seriously considering moving to the Richfield, Utah area. Sevier County. It’s about 2.5 hours south of Salt Lake City. My friend Marie lives down there and I could practice agility and obedience with her!

I haven’t had much luck finding a Realtor who will talk to me. Probably because they want to make a sale now, not five years from now. However we are kinda in the market for some property.  But I’m still looking and sending emails to see who I can get together with and get more information.

My dream is for my husband and I to buy some land, about ten acres or so.. even five would probably do, within the next couple of years. And then after I retire we can build a house on it. Though I have no idea where to go to build a house… I’d have to look into that pretty seriously. For that matter we’d have to look into the land too, including water rights and access and stuff. Then when the house is built, move into it, and sell our house up here in Salt Lake. Then we won’t need any spring plungers because we’ll have a brand new house and everything will work!

Maybe I’m thinking of a new house because ours is so messy… I want to move out and get a new clean one. LOL.  I do that with rooms. When I make a room dirty, I just go spend my time in another room. I don’t know how to clean! And I hate hate hate our kitchen!

Well, I can dream… I’d love to have no neighbors, and have a place where the dogs can bark and bark all day if they want and no one will care!

Our house in New York was a 2900 square foot log home on 6.9 wooded acres … unfortunately it was in an economically depressed area with really bad weather, so we sold it and moved to California. I still miss the house and the land, but not the snow and rain!
