Eating To Live

Well, after eating too much last night for Thanksgiving, and after having read over my Eat to Live book again, I’m going back.

About two years ago I followed the Eat To Live plan and I dropped 20 pounds very quickly. It was awesome. :) Since then I’ve fallen off the wagon, of course. As usually I obsess about things instead of commit to them.  So now I want to turn the obsession into commitment.  Both have left me, though.  And I know it’s a good eating plan to follow. I don’t want to call it a diet, because the word ‘diet’ has such a negative connotation to it.  Diet can either mean to go on a diet to lose weight. Or an elephant’s diet is mostly leaves… (I don’t know if that’s true, just came to mind).  But I want a ‘diet’ like the latter example.

Basically the idea of Eat To Live is to eat nutrient dense foods that are also low in calories.  This also promotes health. And I am ready to get healthy again.  And drop this awful weight I have put back on. So today I’ve eaten lettuce and beans and Brussels sprouts. All good things.

So now I can start to drop this darn weight again! Ugh! I was 147 at my lowest weight while doing E2L.  Now I’m back up to 165. 170 was my high, and I don’t want to hit that again. But if I keep doing what I’m doing, I’m going to, and fast.  So back to veggies and nutrient dense foods for me!

Another cool thing about E2L is that I can stuff myself silly on veggies. And I think I’m going to go do just that!

On this day..
