Getting Things Back Together

Unfortunately, I’ve been spending a lot of time doing recovery on my sites. It’s not fun.. well, okay, it’s kinda fun. 
I’m a computer geek after all. However, I’d rather be posting to my blogs instead of reinstalling them. I’m just glad I had fairly decent backups. I’ve revamped my backup system, however, so they are even better than they were before. I was sadly lacking in some of my friend’s blogs, and files, and so lost some of their info. Fortunately I was able to recover most due to RSS, but I have to repost, and reposting is just time consuming and tedious. And I haven’t done much of it yet. =P
Anywhoo… things are coming along. TatumTot.com is fully recovered and I even found the pink theme again! This blog isn’t fully recovered, I have to repost back posts, but they’ll come. And I have to get utahdogs.com up because of the ads… but it is taking me a while to re-figure out how to configure IPB.
Oh well, life happens. I still like Steadcom and will stay with them as my VPS host. Their support is amazingly good, their techie’s friendly and nice. And I’m happy with them!
Though maybe I need another job, maybe Boston jobs would be good… after I retire from this Utah job. But not sure if I want to move back east, with all these Hurricanes coming up!

Good Luck on getting everything back up and running smoothly. Reading this reminds me of the fact that I need to work on setting up better backup systems for my sites. But, like you I would much rather work on putting up content.
