Entrecard and SezWho
I’m a member of both Entrecard and SezWho. I joined up with SezWho about a month or so ago because I saw a post about it over on Eyespi20 and it looked like a good commenting system. And I’d already played around with Intense Debate and Disqus, as you might know if you read my blog off and on.
Well I didn’t like that Intense Debate and Disqus stored my comments off my blog. I like having ownership of my own comments. Maybe I’m a bit of a control freak… okay, I know I’m a bit of a control freak. So I like to have my comments stored here, on my server, with my blog. And so I switched to SezWho.
I like the idea of having a commenting community, and SezWho provides that in a good way. They are growing, too, and I hope to be able to meet and keep friends lists on SezWho. I really don’t like their Red Carpet Widget, though, it’s big and cumbersome, so i am not using that on my blogs. But I like the SezWho environment and community.
So I think it’s great that Entrecard and SezWho have partnered. Now if you post a comment on a SezWho enabled blog, you earn Entrecard Credits. Which is very cool! Though I post comments on other blogs regarldess of that. But hrm.. maybe it will inspire me to post more comments on those blogs!

I’ve been a member of Entrecard for a few months now, and just joined Sez Who today. I agree with you about Intense Debate- I have it and it’s slowing down my load time, so I’m probably going to be getting rid of it. Thanks for the post - if I hadn’t just found out about it from a friend, I would have checked them out because of your post.

Hi Chris. I think Intense Debate was slowing down my load time, too.

Cynthia — how have you like Sezwho up until now? Are you going to get Turnip to make you some custom icons for it?
I felt the same way about Disqus. They never have answered me about a way to import the comments back into wordpress. If they had that I might still have it as I did like it. I read on kind2all.com that Sezwho is not valid html code and is breaking sites for people with disabilities who must use a screen reader to read websites. That disturbs me and I’m waiting to see if they have a rebuttal for that anytime soon.

Hi Margaret I really like SezWho so far! I didn’t know Turnip would make custom icons… I would love some I’ll have to go check out his site.
Is he going to make some for you?
That does suck about the disabilities usage. I hope they get that fixed up very soon!
Disqus never answered my questions about getting comments from them, back to my WP installation, either.
