New Bridge

HooverDamNewBridgeOh and check this out, they are building a new bridge, I assume for cars, across the canyon above the Hoover Dam. Looking up almost made me dizzy. Driving over this bridge, once it’s complete, will be spooky for me. It’s so high up above the canyon floor… above the water line.

Speaking of the water line, Lake Mead is terribly low! It is not a good sight. Much different from when we sailed it all those years ago.

When my husband and I got married at the dog park, we exchanged wedding bands… and I don’t know really how that relates to Lake Mead, except that when we were at Lake Mead, I was head over heels for my current husband. And I love the titanium wedding band he has, i wish he would wear the darn thing. Maybe I should string it on a necklace and wear it myself!

On this day..

Oh my gosh…Hoover Dam is high up enough, let alone a bridge higher than that. It’s hard to comprehend and I don’t think I’d want to drive over it. I was there when I was a kid back in the 60’s -my parents took us on long trips every summer-it was fantastic, and my brother and I remember hearing in the tour that men lost their lives building it and because there was no way to retrieve their bodies, they are still inside the cement. My parents don’t recall this and my husband says he’s heard it’s all a myth, but my brother and I both remember it. So who knows……

My husband has gained enough weight since we got married that he couldn’t get his wedding band off if he wanted to. Just how I want it.

LOL Tina. My husband has gained some weight too, but he’s getting it back off again.

Hi Chris, yeah I don’t think I’d want to drive over this too. Actually I have a recurring dream of driving on a road that leads out of Utah, and it’s a 360 degree loop like a rollar coaster! i drove on it once in my dream but it was too scary!
