I have not calculated my blogging earnings in a couple of months, but I plan on doing that in the next couple of days. But I’ve just been thinking about jobs that pay $8 an hour. I don’t know how anyone can live off that.
I can make $8 for one blog post, and it only takes me about 5 minutes to write. Sometimes more, depending on the content. Not usually longer than 10 minutes.
Today I look forward to making $45 in blogging. I’ve already put in my working hours at work so I’m off the rest of the day. If you work 8 hours at $8 an hour, that’s only $64 for the day. Less taxes you are making just over what I am making with two measly blog posts that will take probably an hour total to make (one will be a video).
I am also going to change some of my blogging for money accounts so it’s UCR making the money, under the UCR EIN, and not me. That way I won’t have to pay personal income taxes on it, then claim it as a deduction when I donate it to UCR.
I do need an accountant, I think. I haven’t found one yet but I have some feelers out. I hopefully won’t need Raleigh personal injury attorneys, but if I ever get in a car wreck or something, then I might!

This looks like you are doing some pretty smart budgeting. I have been considering monetizing my blog - perhaps I’ll research how much it will make.

I make a bit more than $8 an hour..ok a lot more, but I still blog for cash. It buys the extras I couldn’t normally afford. But I agree, I’d rather blog than flip burgers!
