In My Neighborhood
You should really sing the title to this blog post. 
“… in the neighborhood…” that is a song, isn’t it?
What is going on in my neighborhood, you may ask? Well, since my husband and I both have Social Anxiety, we hardly know our neighbors. But we do know the lady across the street has lived in her house since it was built in 1943 (ours was also built in 1943, same design, just a mirror image). The people next to them have a little girl probably just under a year old. They are renting but they love the house and the block, and want to buy.
There were about 4 cop cars and a fire truck on our street this week, that was exciting.
Our house has 7 dogs in it at the moment (yeah 7, in 1300 square feet, too small for 7 dogs, one that is 99 pounds). So it keeps us hopping.
I haven’t seen the regularly loose dogs out lately, thank the gods. I hate it when people let their dogs roam the block. And poop everywhere. With 7 dogs, we have enough poop of our own to pick up thank-you-very-much. We don’t need to pick up the neighbors dogs’ poop!
As for higher up, Rocky Anderson, who is the mayor of our fine city, just rocks. Quoted from Wikipedia:

Which is pretty amazing for Utah. Same Sex unions are sooo frowned on here, it’s just sad. I support gay marriage. So I think Rocky Anderson did a great thing for Utah.
The weather is good, I have an agility trial this weekend, and tomorrow (May 26) is my 40th birthday. Yay.

Well, I live in a Muslim state and the Chinese in my neighbourhood don’t rear dogs because (a) the Muslims can’t get into physical with a dog, (c) they don’t want their dogs to be confiscated, or worse, killed.
But yeah, I know what you mean when you said you have enough dog poop to pick up, my boyfriend has 3 dogs

It sounds like you live in a typical neighborhood. When we lived in town, there was a limit to 2 dogs allowed. We had a great dane and a black lab. Now that we live in the country we have a boston terrier and a shitzu. LOL

Rocky sounds like a pretty good guy. I’m very conservative but I don’t understand the problem with gay civil unions or marriages. I just don’t get it. They say it will destroy the family. It seems to me that if you have 2 people who want to commit to each other and a monogamous relationship that would strengthen the family. No???
I’ve had 4 dogs once, that was too many. I can’t imagine living with 7!!

love the lowdown on the neighborhood. we have neighbors that walk with their dogs and let them poop everywhere, so i kind of feel your pain there.

Hey Suni. Yeah, people really need to pick up after their dogs. The few ruin it for the majority who are responible.
