Okay this has been bugging me for a few days and I finally went to Wikipedia to look it up.
John Barrowman is an Alto. Or at least I heard/read that somewhere and now I can’t remember where. So I’ve been wondering what the order is. So I guess it’s Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass. Is that right?
So Wikipedia says that men are not usually natural Altos.
The term (alto) is used to refer to the lowest female singing voice, or to a kind of male singing voice utilizing falsetto called a countertenor.
Interesting. I sent my sister an email to see what she says, as she plays Oboe and was very involved in music when she was younger. She is an awesome Oboe player. I love to listen to her play. She also played some Sax back in High School. I played the French Horn, but didn’t like it much. I also tried the Viola and the drums. I kinda wish I would have stayed with the Viola. I love it. Very pretty.
I do love to sing. Every now and then I play with the idea of getting a singing coach. But my Social Anxiety is too much. I don’t have the confidence yet to be watched doing something that is so…. me. But maybe someday I’ll be able to. I wonder what level I sing. I can sing pretty well with JB, but I sing better with the Indigo Girls. I love the Indigo Girls!
On this day..
