Oh joy. Now I get to suffer through a hypochondriac-ly aching left breast for a week. I had a mamogram last week, and the hospital just called. I have a dense area in my left breast and they want to do a Spot Film. Joy. Fun. Great. Worry… I hope it’s nothing. Should be nothing. Healthy as I am… really should be nothing at all. Just a follow-up.
I’m 39. I’ll be 40 in May. Women are supposed to start getting mamograms at 40. But since my cousin on my father’s side in Chicago was diagnosed of breast cancer at what… 38? 37? I started early. She died, didn’t make it to 40. Still makes me cry to think of it…
Soon as I hung up the phone my left breast started to ache. Great.
